About Me

My name is Amanda and I'm the founder and CEO of Bright Light Disability Services. I was fortunate to be trained by old school matrons and adopted a high level of expectation and resilience from these very experienced nurses. Being in the field for 25 years across many areas in aged, disability, community, in-home and facility care along with several hospitals. During this time, I have experienced both the negative gaps and the positive innovative methods and with so many people needing caring, trusting and supportive care, it was extremely frustrating to see so many without adequate support filled with respect, kindness and transparency. This is what fueled and motivated me to branch out in to my own service providing business and prove that it can be improved for the better for all who need these services and show others in the industry that they can provide better and people who require our services are not just a number.
